Any questions about the forum itself - of a general och technological nature are welcome in this thread.
No questions will be considered stupid - possibly some of the answers will be a bit dense, though.
All other questions probably belong in some of the forums with actual content.

As a matter of fact Erik, I can help you with that. ;D Here is an explanation by Proboards Support. I have been awarding them tou you and mt and Peter for fun for a few days, to see if you would notice... The admin of all admins seems to have allowed it on our board.
Karma « Thread Started on May 31, 2005, 4:06am »
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Karma is basically a member rating system based on their actions.
If you feel a member has done something good, you would give them positive karma, if you feel they have done something bad, you give them negative.
This system either adds or subtracts 1 from the users karma count. This is only of course assuming the admin of the forum has enabled karma (in general settings in admin)
The exalt link gives the user positive karma, and the smite gives them negative
You are limited to 1 issue of karma each hour to avoid foul play « Last Edit: Jun 17, 2005, 8:38am by Proboards Support »

Exactly. Just for fun I checked a check-box in the admin-area to enable it. Just to see how it works
It is very childish. I don't understand its merits.

Peter, I'm surprised at your attitude-- karma is "very childish?!?!" time to get back to studying the four mind-changings again my friend for karma and impermanence are the cornerstones of the Dharma. (he-he) Indeed! Thanks for the white deed! Quiz: Where does this quote come from? The root of practicing the Sacred Dharma is the law of karma.
Through evil deeds and nonvirtues you will go to the three lower realms.
By virtuous actions you will achieve the higher realms and liberation.
Therefore confess evil deeds and make the wholehearted vow to refrain from them.
First to answer wins a virtual bag of peanuts! Administrators may not participate.
